Ntn is supportive, community- based and development focused. All beginning teachers should experience what it's like to feel this valued, inspired and encouraged!

Ntn is different to anything else offered to first year teachers. The program supports not only your emotional needs, but also provides ideas for the many things that university 'didn't cover because they could only be learnt on the job e.g. parent relationships and report writing. The support I have received from Vicki has been incredible. Vicki not only organises interesting, engaging and relevant sessions, she is also there to support you through any problems you may be facing along the way.
Ntn has benefited me tremendously by providing opportunities to connect with like-minded teachers at a similar stage of their career. Unlike other TPL, I've been able to personally connect with well-respected and influential personalities within the field of education such as Dr Paul Brock and Vicki herself. Moreover, due to the structure of the ntn we have been supported over a much longer time frame and at a more personal level.
Ntn has been an incredibly important part of my early career for many reasons.
Vicki is knowledgeable, talented, warm, passionate, enthusiastic, practical and inspirational. Each session she planned and shared addressed the stresses or challenges we were facing at the time.
It was great to meet other early career teachers, hear about their successes and difficulties as well as share resources and ideas. Vicki's mentoring has provided a perfect mix of practical help, ideas and solutions, a comfortable and confidential place to ask the thousands of questions circling your head, and inspiration through lesson observations of truly talented teachers and gifted speakers. Vicki connects with each of her new teachers to make them feel supported and resilient. Personally, she has helped me to trust, believe in, and celebrate the things I love most about teaching, the things that will enable me to be the best teacher I can possibly be.

Being in ntn has been a continuous life-force for me as a beginning teacher. It has been a never-ending waterfall of ideas, inspiration and most importantly personal encouragement and reassurance that you are not alone. The ntn reminds you of WHY you teach, listens as you learn in the early stages of your career and allows other early career teachers to support one another. I am thankful to be a part of it!

Ntn has provided me with invaluable tools to use within the classroom, the school and wider community. The topics covered throughout the duration of the course are relevant and targeted to beginning teachers. Vicki’s abundance of knowledge and experience along with her infectious positivity and support has made my third year of teaching a very positive time in my career. I only wish ntn was around during my first year of teaching. I would, without any hesitation, recommend ntn to any beginning teachers.

Being in my fourth year of teaching, ntn has been a source of refreshment for me this year. Vicki's mentoring has been invaluable to my teaching career. Not only has she inspired me with her passion, creativity and insight into the teaching profession, she has built up my resilience . She has created a community of teachers, adding to my personal support network, people whom I can talk to, knowing that their counsel will strengthen me in my teaching career. I think Aristotle's quote sums up this course: "Education of the mind without education of the heart is no education at all" Being part of ntn this year has educated my heart as well as my mind.

I have found the ntn an invaluable support and professional development program to help me through my first year. Vicki has been a champion of each and every member, not only providing a networking space but also mentoring us as individuals. The hub meetings have explored pertinent issues and equipped us with hands-on skills to take back to school. I have left each meeting with fresh inspiration, clarity, ideas and resources. On top of that, we have all gained a community of like-minded peers, which will no doubt support us in the years to come
